Brewing Today

Episode 12

On this show I am going to discuss a nutty flavor in beer. Nutty is not necessarily an off flavor, but some beers are known to have more of this flavor than others. For example, Hex Nut Browns are known for a nutty flavor. We’ll mix up a batch of nutty beer so you can find out for yourself what to look for in a beer.

On today’s show I am going to discuss a sour, or acidic, flavor in beer. We aren’t talking about beers that we intentionally sour by using bacteria. We are talking about beers that have a sour flavor that shouldn’t have that flavor.
